Personal Information We Collect From You

Registration Information:

Accounting Specialty Group is comitted all visitors to our website may browse our website and see general information about Accounting Specialty Group. However, to register for an account with Accounting Specialty Group, you must provide us with your name, email address, and password. To register a boat via our Services, you must also provide your age and address. As part of the underwriting process we may collect additional information from you, such as driving and criminal conviction history, loss history, and other information normally collected in similar insurance related underwriting processes.

Contact Information:
We may also collect your mobile phone number, email address, and/or instant message (“IM”) screen name when you register with us or send a mobile text message to Accounting Specialty Group’s short code (69302). A verification message may be sent to the mobile phone number, email address, and/or IM screen name that you provide. You must verify each piece of contact information to begin receiving messages via your selected communication channels. If you do not verify the contact information that you provide us, you will not be able to receive messages via your selected channel.

Usage Information.
We also collect information about the services you use and other activities on our website.

Communications with Us:
If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses. We may also retain any messages you send through the Services. You may provide us information when you post User Content to the Services. Accounting Specialty Group does not intentionally collect or save any information from children 13 years of age.

Payment Information:
ASG is comitted to use our Services, Accounting Specialty Group will collect your payment information. We may allow you to pay using third-party services, such as PayPal, or by paying us directly via credit card or another method. By submitting your payment information, you authorize Accounting Specialty Group to access and use this information in order to process your payment, and, if you choose, to store your payment information for future payments. This allows us both to confirm your identity and provide you with seamless, hassle-free transactions. You can check the current fees, fines, and penalties applicable to use of our Services in our Fee Schedule.

Driver’s Record:
For certain Services, we may require that you grant us permission to check your driver’s record to make sure you meet Accounting Specialty Group safety standards. By registering for such services and granting your consent, you authorize us to access your driver’s record from state DMVs, RMVs, and other applicable entities, and you authorize these entities to release this information to Accounting Specialty Group. Accounting Specialty Group’s authorization to check your records is ongoing throughout the time you use our Services.

Boat History and Inspection:
If you own a boat that is used on Accounting Specialty Group, we may require the inspection of the boat and obtain a boat history report. By registering with Accounting Specialty Group, you authorize us to obtain this information and you authorize applicable entities such as DMVs, inspection companies and mechanics to release such information to Accounting Specialty Group.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and other tracking technologies, including those provided by third parties, to collect information about your use of our website, mobile device software application and Services. We may combine this information with the other, personally identifiable information we have collected about you.

Cookies:
Accounting Specialty Group or its third-party service providers may send “cookies” to your computer or mobile device that contain an identification number that is unique to the device you are using. We use cookies to provide you with a seamless experience and to record how our Services are being used. When you use the Services, we or our third-party service providers may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons and pixel tags) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users. In addition, we or our third-party service providers may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make the company better for our users.

Third-Party Cookies:
We may also engage third parties to track and analyze website data. We use the data collected by such third parties to help us administer and improve the quality of the website and to analyze website usage. Such third parties may combine the information that we provide about you with other information that they have collected. This Policy does not cover such third parties’ use of the data.

Do Not Track:

Data Gathered from In-Boat Hardware:
If a GPS tracking device is installed on your boat, and you activate that device with Accounting Specialty Group, we may gather information about your boat use, including time of use, location, speed of travel, and other aspects of your boat use. We use this information 1) to provide you with the Services, 2) to aggregate your use habits and potentially provide you with related benefits such as better insurance rates or other perks for safe boating, 3) to record boat movements and driver behavior in case of an accident or theft, and 4) to aggregate your data with other boaters’ data and better understand how people use our Services and how we can make it even better for in the future.

Location Tracking:
If you are renting a boat, and the boat is GPS tracking enabled the Owner of the boat may be able to see the location of the rented boat. Your location information may be released to insurance companies, law enforcement, or similar parties in the due course of investigating and processing accident claims, providing you with help in the case of an emergency, or where required by law or legal process.

How We Use Your Information
In general, we use the information we collect from you to provide our Services, to analyze and improve our Services and develop new Services, to provide customer service and technical support, and to communicate with you. To accomplish this objective, we may access your account information and monitor your account activity from time to time.

Moreover, if you contact us with questions or concerns, we may also access your account and information in order to research and respond to your questions and concerns, as well as, to provide you with technical or customer support.

By providing Accounting Specialty Group your email address, you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law. You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on the Services to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. For instance, if you are a boat Owner, we will send you information about your boat’s charter status. You can turn these notifications off or modify how often and in what form you receive them.

If you opt-in, Accounting Specialty Group may send you other messages, including text messages (with your consent) and/or IMs, in the course of operating our Services. You may turn off these messages by adjusting your settings on the Services.

How We Share Your Information

Personally Identifiable Information:
Affiliates and Services Providers. Accounting Specialty Group may share your personally information with affiliates and third parties for the purpose of providing the Services to you. If we do this, such third parties’ use of your information will be bound by this Policy.
